H1N1 Influenza (Swine Flu)

The Capital Region BOCES Risk Management and Communications services are coordinating efforts to keep school districts up to date with the latest H1N1 Influenza (Swine Flu) information and assistance. A special Web page has been set up to assist in that effort. Go there now.

2010 Triennial Re-inspection

School district's Asbestos Management Plans will require a Triennial Re-inspection in 2010. Those districts who do their own Triennial Re-inspection will need a district employee to have  current Inspector/Management Planner certifications.

Chemical Disposal Made Easy:

In April of 2009 the NYSDEC offered cost-efficient chemical disposals in the Capital Region.  Capital Region BOCES Health, Safety and Risk Management assisted many school districts with the disposal process and every school that participated found the program to be a huge success. NYSDEC hopes to offer the same program in the Saratoga region in the year ahead.  We'll let you know as soon as more details are available, but in the meantime if you want to know how CleanSweepNY works, click below:
