What is
a "green product"? Is it natural, recycled,
biodegradable, non-toxic, hypo-allergenic, etc. The
Consumers Union has a good website to sort out what these
terms mean on a product label
Another factor a school may wish to consider
with purchasing decisions is the New York State Department
of Labor's Public Employee Safety and Health regulations (12
NYCRR Part 820) was revised last November. Public
Employers in New York State must keep a record of all
employees exposed to subpart Z chemicals, and which employees
were exposed to which chemicals.
